Funny title but not so funny subject.
I have been meaning to update my blog for some time now...with pics of the kiddos, updates on our new house, news about the coming baby, etc. but when I saw this on Pastor Joseph's blog I simply couldn't.
I usually don't watch blog post videos either because I dont' have time, don't feel like it or figure if it were really important I probably would already have seen it but this is one of the most important videos I have seen in a very long time.
Words really cannot do justice. I only ask that if it upsets you, angers you or makes you feel the need to do something...don't just feel the need..please do something. Whether you feel needed or not, you are very needed and these are just 2 examples of millions.
Thanks for taking the time guys... I am seeking God for creative ways to help both financially, practically and otherwise.

:*( This hurts so much.
I know...the problem is that it seems like often it "hurts" us but then we just think about how sad it is and do nothing more. I don't want to stand before God and give an answer for why I knew about this and didn't do anything. When you're laying on the ground...left alone and dying...anything helps. I don't know what I can do right now more than send money and put it on my blog for everyone to see...but I'm going to figure something out.
I agree. We let our kids watch the video and I know they aren't too young to see it. It broke little Skylar's heart. Chandler said he wanted to go there and buy them a fridge and build them a house. :) I want this to be in their hearts to understand that others suffer and that there is something that we can do. So they gathered up their coins and put in in a jar and we are going to take them to a coin star machine and let them send the money them selves. Africa is where Jasper and I know we are called to. One day I hope we can do what Chandler said and build them houses and buy them a fridge. :)
Irene - that's such a great idea for the kids...go mom :)I think these are more than lessons...they are shaping and molding the way our children see themselves and others. I need to think of a 2 year old appropriate task!
